Learn how to use the bike you have for a short overnight mountain bike trip, perfect for those who "have been meaning to try it" and for everyone that wants an excuse to camp at a back country site with a bunch of friends! This ride is led by bikepacking adventurist and SBMTV member Heather Rose.
The group will meet at First Crossing (closed gate; parking fee area) at 5pm at the end of Paradise Road before for packing and gear fiddling, and roll-out at 6pm. It is a short couple miles to the 19 Oaks campground; in the morning you can head directly home for Mother's Day, or join others for a lap of Camuesa Connector Trail.
Basic backpacking gear, at least a hybrid bike, an RSVP email, and a positive attitude! You can also RSVP and ask gear questions at the Facebook Event page here. Heather will have some extra gear to share. Come join the fun!
Don't hesitate to ask questions on this page or email Heather..
