Bike Challenge Lunch and Awards Ceremony

Celebration and recognition of winning teams and businesses, at Goleta City Hall.

All Bike Challenge participants are invited, as well as the public to help celebrate the Bike Challenge achievements with free lunch, awards, live music, and prize drawings. The event is from 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM, so bike, bus or carpool there with your coworkers and teammates for some fun times. Prize drawings are at 12 and awards at 12:30.

Traffic Solutions is honored to have Goleta City Councilmember Paula Perotte joining us to recognize the winning employers and winning teams and present the giant checks to our five charities. Nick Davis from Yardi will also be presenting one of the checks that Yardi's Point2Homes has underwritten, going to the Bicycle Coalition Advocacy Campaign. The Awards Ceremony will feature the presentation of the following at 12:30PM:

• Hand-made trophy for the 1st place Bike Challenge team - The Road Hogs 
• Medals for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place Bike Challenge teams - The Road Hogs, The Green Vested Roadies, and Da Rasta Roadrashers 
• Five certificates for the 1st place companies in five size categories - Citrix Online, Yardi Systems, Inc., REI, AMEC, and Praevium Research, Inc. 
• Giant checks for the five nonprofit program beneficiaries - I Can Ride, SB Open Streets, SBBIKE Bike Advocacy Campaign and Youth Bike Education, and the Food Bank of Santa Barbara County. 

Prizes drawing details: 

• Announcement of winners is at 12:00PM 
• Prizes are for Bike Challenge participants only
• You do not have to be present to win, but it's more fun if you are 
• You get one entry for each day you logged a bike trip in May
• The grand prize is a Globe Work 2 commuter bike from Bicycle Bob's
• Additional prizes include gift cards and gear from: REI, Horny Toad, Open Air Bicycles, Velo Pro, Osprey Packs, Teva, Maps.com, and Bragg Live Food Products. 

Lunch is free and includes Tiki Tacos.
