Thursday launches the Bicycle Film Festival in Santa Barbara with a kick-off party downtown Santa Barbara. Friday and Saturday evenings offer multiple film programs at the IV Theater in Isla Vista. Saturday morning there will be a Bicycle Swap meet in UCSB's Lot 23 on the west end of campus.
Brendt Barbur, Founding Festival Director, started the Bicycle Film Festival in 2001 as a platform to celebrate the bicycle through music, art and, of course, film. The Bicycle Film Festival has been a major catalyst for the urban bike movement, one of the most powerful and culturally relevant forces of the last decade. This year marks the second annual Bicycle Film Festival in Santa Barbara, and the films will be shown at the IV Theater in Isla Vista. Come out and see the best, internationally-renowned, cycling films and join in for some great times at the pre-party and swap meet! Download the flyers and program info.
